I found the statement, the point this little film makes, incredibly profound.
I watched it with a lump in my throat. And it left me with a long silence at the end.
Don’t watch it from a straight or gay point of view, but human point of view. The set up is chosen as it is for a good reason and in my opinion enhances the statement and the effect upon the viewer.
It shouldn’t matter, if the viewer is straight or gay, but apparently it does, because a gay person is likely to understand the little girl much better (ironic as it seems).
It’s worth the twenty minutes you need to spend on this.
