George Bellows
I went to see this exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London last Saturday, completely unplanned. I may or may not have heard of George Bellows before. Either way, I am ever so glad the coin landed thus and we went to see it spontaneously. I didn’t regret spending those 10 pounds on the ticket, he was a brilliant painter and some of his art would look good on a wall that I’d like to own one day.
On one wall in the gallery was above quote. Needless to say it resonated with me. Very, very much so.
