I’ve rarely had a productive weekend such as this. On Saturday I spent a few hours working on my website. It won’t be anything fancy, but it will be a start. I will continue to work on it, hopefully improving it along the way, but since it is template built, it can never be perfect. There are obvious limitations, but hopefully nothing to bothersome.
Perfection, are something close to it, will have to wait until I can pay a pro to make the site that I have in mind. For now it will do.
Sunday I finished and posted my second short story on it. I wish I could add a comment box to it. That way I needn’t rely on email for feedback. But I suppose it could be worse.
I’m likely to “launch” the site this week. For the time being all updates regarding my site will take place here.
I’ve also done the “domestic goddess” thing yesterday, perhaps an early Spring clean. Vacuuming and laundry aside, I also had to deal with a mold issue.
Living on a houseboat that is not very well insulated and only has heating in the bedrooms, such a thing is not entirely unexpected. It was only really a problem in the bathroom and some corners of the kitchen and is now a problem no more.
I feel oddly accomplished.
Now, I’ve titled this blog “Long Haul” for a reason. It’s where I am officially in with my NaNoWriMo novel. I started on the second draft. I didn’t think I would. I didn’t know what I might do with it, but hiding it on my desktop somewhere never to be looked at again was certainly an option.
Returning to it, however, was somewhat unlikely.
Yet here I am. In it for the long haul.
